The Rod and Reel Pier is located in the city of Anna Maria Florida, on Anna Maria Island. Built-in 1947, it is one of the oldest piers in the United States. Known for its great fishing, it also provides a great casual dining spot, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The city of Anna Maria is located on the north end of the Island at the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa bay.
Anna Maria is known for its breathtaking sugar-white sand, emerald water, and some of the most incredible sunrises and sunsets in the world. Anna Maria and its “Old Florida Charm” will sweep you away.
This HD webcam was installed in 2012 and averages over 150,000 visitors per year for this view. The cam has been featured on many local television weather shows, and has also been featured on the Weather Channel, Good Morning America, the Today Show, Fox News, and many more. The camera has received an award of Earthcam's 25 Most Interesting Webcams and “Best Sunrise or Sunset Camera” contest of worldwide Earthcam cameras. As of 2023, the camera has been viewed over 2 million times.
